We are supporting some of the biggest publishing brands such as NZZ, Swisscom and T-Online with our product. Clients love Livingdocs for its frictionless editing experience that reminds of platforms such as medium.com but with much more powerful workflows.
Livingdocs is a headless CMS and heavily relies on partners for its distribution to clients. As a core team member you are also responsible for supporting partnering developer teams on how to solve different challenges. We are looking for people who want to understand our clients requirements and ask “what do you want to achieve” rather than “what do you want me to do”.
About the role
You will help our clients to build great applications using Livingdocs as a backend. Where things could be solved better you will take back the requirements to our team and we will continuously improve the core software with this input. Your role is both to be at the client-facing side as well as developing core functionality as part of the core team.
As a plus you also have an eye for design and a good hand with CSS / HTML.
Depending on your profile you can specialise in backend (Node), frontend (Vue) development or optionally also Devops. In any case we require a full-stack knowledge, isolated frontend or backend development is not something we do at Livingdocs.
– Experience with modern frontend web frameworks
– Experience with Node
– Ability to work with Git and the command line
– Know how to work with docker and npm
– Ability to understand and translate requirements to technical concepts
– Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
– Experience in writing technical documentation
– Forthcoming and communicative personality
– Only Swiss or EU citizens
– Optional specialisation: Devops (Kubernetes, Azure / Google / AWS clouds, Grafana)

Our clients are well-known and build demanding frontend applications giving you the opportunity to work with the latest and greatest that the web has to offer in terms of tech. While our core team is rather small, every member support on average 5 to 20 developers at partnering teams.

The pandemic taught us effective remote processes though by its absence we also came to value the importance of social interaction. Once we have a safe (and well vaccinated) environment we plan to have on-site days where everyone comes together in the office and we can have direct social interaction while the bulk of the time can be determined by yourself whether its in the office or at home.
We do currently not consider offer fully remote work thus you should be able to come to our Zurich offices some of the time.
